WRPA Hall of Fame InductionsRick-Mansur-Award-for-web

It is with great pleasure that Campbell County Parks and Recreation would like to recognize two people for their work and dedication to Parks and Recreation. Wyoming Recreation and Parks Association selected Rick Mansur to be inducted into the Hall of Fame as the 2020 inductee and selected Dan Barks as the 2021 inductee. Both Dan and Rick were dedicated to Parks and Recreation in their careers and helped make Campbell County Parks and Recreation what it is today.

Dan Barks was the Executive Director from January 1976 through February 1991 when Dave McCormick took over as Executive Director. Dave served in that position until 2016 when Rick Mansur was named to Executive Director and held the position until his retirement in June of 2021.  Dan Barks hired Rick Mansur in 1985. Rick worked all but 6 months of those 36 years with Campbell County Parks and Recreation. Both have received numerous honors during their Parks and Recreation careers but the highest honor, WRPA’s Hall of Fame was presented to each of them last night at the beginning of Parks and Recreation Board Meeting.  They join a distinguished list of honorees from around the state that includes Dennis Poppinga and Kenneth Kurtz (2012), Dave Romero, Jack Frappart, and Janet Jahn (2013), Dave McCormick and Mike Bemis (2014), E. Scott Sessions (2015), Bob Churchich and Don Reynolds (2016), Molly Wilhelm (2018), Donnie Bjhorus and Dale Boedeker (2019). All these people made many contributions in not only their individual hometowns but around the State of Wyoming and beyond. Wyoming Recreation and Parks would not be what it is today without these professionals.

Congratulations to Rick Mansur (2020) and Dan Barks (2021) WRPA Hall of Fame inductees!
