Except for Administrative Plats, all subdivisions must first be approved by the County Planning Commission before final approval by the Board of County Commissioners. The submittal deadline calendar can be viewed here. View and download subdivision applications and Application fees

A WY licensed Professional Land Surveyor must prepare subdivision submittal documents. To speed the subdivision process, Campbell County encourages Land Surveyors to use the following Subdivision Templates available in both pdf and dwg formats:

The lender or lien holders on your land must give their consent to subdivide before your subdivision can be approved. Here is a downloadable Consent to Subdivide Requirement fact sheet to give to your lender.

All subdivisions that create new roads must also provide for their maintenance. This can be in the form of a Homeowner’s Association (HOA) or preferably by creating or joining an existing Improvement and Service (I&S) District. Here is a fact sheet about I&S Districts

All HOA and I&S District road maintenance programs must meet certain criteria to be eligible for subdivision approval; please see this road maintenance fact sheet for more information.

New Minor and Major subdivisions must also apply for and receive approval for an appropriate zoning district for the project. Please visit our Zoning Homepage for more information.
