1. How do I obtain a Tattoo Parlor Permit?

Tattoo Parlor licenses are available at Campbell County Public Health. There are certain criteria that have to be met prior to obtaining a tattoo parlor license, including an inspection by the County Health Officer and a $50.00 fee. A booklet of the requirements can be picked up at Campbell County Public Health. Please call public health for more information.

2. Where do I obtain food permits?

Food permits can be obtained from Campbell County Public Health, Monday through Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm. There is a $25.00 fee for the permit. If the activity is a non-profit function the fee is waived. When applying for the permit, it is important to know what food items will be sold.

4. How do I obtain travel vaccines?

Campbell County Public Health provides Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, injectable Polio, Tdap, MMR, and Varicella for persons traveling outside of the United States. There is a cost associated with these vaccines . It is necessary to schedule an appointment prior to getting travel vaccines. For an appointment or more information please call 307-682-7275. 5. How soon before traveling outside of the United States do I need to start vaccines?

It takes approximately six months to complete a full series of travel vaccines depending on where you are traveling, how long you will be staying, and the purpose of the travel. It is recommended to start vaccines at least six months prior to departure or as soon as you know your travel plans. It takes a minimum of two weeks to build immunity to any vaccines. If there are more than one injection required in an immunization series, you will not have full immunity if the series has not been completed. 6. Where do I get medication to prevent malaria?

If you are traveling to an area where malaria is prevalent you will need to obtain medication to prevent malaria from your physician. It is important you get this medication prior to leaving on your trip and follow all directions when taking the medication.
